- شرح كتاب الجهاد (14) : التّرغيب في سؤال الشهادة في سبيل الله تعالى - عن سهل بن حنيف رضي الله عنه أنّ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "من سأل الله تعالى الشّهادة بصدق، بلّغه الله منازل الشّهداء، وإن مات على فراشه" - عن أنس رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "من طلب الشّهادة صادقا أعطيها، ولو لم تصبه" - عن معاذ بن جبل رضي الله عنه أنّه سمع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: "من قاتل في سبيل الله فُواق ناقة، فقد وجبت له الجنّة، ومن سأل الله القتل من نفسه صادقا ثم مات أو قُتِل، فإنّ له أجر شهيد، ومن جُرح جرحا في سبيل الله أو نُكب نكبة، فإنها تجيء يوم القيامة كأغزر ما كانت، لونها لون الزعفران، وريحها ريح المسك"
